watoto2Watoto Children’s Choir

Sunday, May 6, 10:00 a.m.

On Sunday, May 6, a children’s choir – Watoto – from Uganda will help lead worship at Heartland Presbyterian Church. They will perform 45 minutes during our worship that morning. We are looking for several homes that could host 2 to 3 of the choir members and 1 to 2 adults overnight on Saturday May 5. If you can host choir members please let Peter Roberts (peter@hpcusa.org) or the church office know. As a choir host you will be expected to provide them with a place to sleep on either a bed, a couch, or an inflatable mattress, and breakfast on Sunday morning. A free will offering for the choir will be received during worship May 6. Hosting these choir members provides you with a wonderful opportunity to get to know these international singers and connect with the community of Christ outside your normal experience. Following worship there will be a fellowship lunch so we can interact with the choir members and their leaders. The worship and fellowship committees will be coordinating the meal. If you would like to help please contact Peter (peter@hpcusa.org). This would be a wonderful time to invite a friend to worship that day as it should be a very special experience. Let’s all work together to fill our sanctuary!
